About The Role

Plymouth Argyle Academy are looking for enthusiastic, energetic, and inspiring part-time coaches to join our Academy coaching department in the Pre Academy (U7/U8), Foundation Phase (U9-U12) & Youth Development Phase (U13-U16). This is an exciting opportunity for enthusiastic Level 2 (now UEFA C) coaches who are prepared to work towards their UEFA B within 12 months. This is an important role assisting and supporting Head Coaches within the programme, coaching our Academy players and others identified for future progression in Cornwall. It is critical that the successful applicant understands player development as well as assisting the club’s aim of developing more home-grown players into the first team. Successful applicants will be assigned designated age group(s) to work with within the centre.

*Coaches must have completed their UEFA C / FA Level 2 Coaching License*

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • To support the delivery of coaching sessions.
  • Liaise with coaching team and wider Academy staff team regarding the development of the players.
  • Support Individual Development Plans and Performance Reviews for all players in the group.
  • To integrate into the Academy coaching team and building positive relationship with Academy staff, players and parents.
  • Attend all club coaching Continuous Professional Development events and external training courses as set out in under the EPPP guidelines.

About The Candidate

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS
  • FA Level 2 (UEFA C) Coaching qualification
  • FA Safeguarding workshop
  • FA Level 1 Introduction to First Aid in Football (IFAiF)
  • Opportunity to work towards UEFA B
