About The Role

Doncaster Rovers are looking for a casual Strength & Conditioning programme on a casual basis within the academy, working with the Head of Academy Sport Science, focusing on age appropriate athletic development for all players within the schoolboy programme (U9 – U16) 

Responsibilities

To liaise with the head of academy sports science on matters relating to the physical development of players in the Foundation and Youth Development Phases. 

To work in line with the Academy Philosophy, upholding the Academies 'aims, vision and values' at all times

To work within and uphold all the Academies policies and best practice guidelines, including; Safeguarding, Health & Safety, Recruitment, Equality & Diversity and inclusion and Codes of Conduct.

Support the planning and implementation of individual group testing and conditioning sessions

To engage with the staff CPD programme

To liaise with the players Parents/carers with regards to player development and progress at the Academy for the schoolboy players

To show clear evidence of planning and evaluating of all sessions delivered by ensuring all relevant Kitman Labs administration is kept up to date

To ensure all Academy assessments & evaluations are up to date and complete on Kitman Labs, including player feedback.

To be prepared to do any duties to further the development of the Club and Academy as and when required. 

About The Candidate

Knowledge & Experience

To be able to deliver this role with the skills and experiences we are looking for:

Essential:

BSc (Hons) Sports Science

FA Safeguarding Certification

Basic First Aid for Sport (BFAS)

Delivery of S&C programmes with athletes

 

Desirable

MSc in Strength and Conditioning or similar

UKSCA Accreditation or working towards this qualification

Gym/Fitness Qualification

Skills

  • Good communication/listening skills
  • Organisational skills
  • IT literacy
  • Flexible approach and good time management skills

Desirable

  • Previous experience of Academy football
  • Understanding and previous working knowledge of talent pathway system
