About The Role

We are looking for an Academy Physical Performance Coach to oversee the athletic development of our  Under 18 age group, in line with the Academy Performance Plan.

In this exciting role, you'll be entrusted to diligently plan, deliver and evaluate both on-pitch and gym based athletic development sessions. You will optimize player potential by enhancing availability, maximizing physical performance, and mitigating the risk of injury.

Operating as a vital part of a multidisciplinary team, you will collaboratively work with a range of colleagues to optimize the health, physical capacity and on-pitch application of our Academy players.

About The Candidate

- Minimum of 2 years’ experience coaching within a sports environment.
- Proven experience working within an elite performance environment, demonstrating strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proven experience working with young players and parents, demonstrating strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proficient in the use of a range of IT applications.
- Highly motivated and committed, with the flexibility to dedicate time in line with programme schedules.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to set and maintain high standards

About The Club

AFC Wimbledon is a professional football club based in Wimbledon, London, with an astonishing history, having been reformed in 2002 to continue 135 years of Wimbledon sporting representation.
