About The Role

The Grimsby Town Foundation have an exciting opportunity for a Head of Operations to join their Senior Management Team.

In this role, you will oversee all daily operations of the Foundation ensuring that the charity is well coordinated and productive by managing its procedures and supporting staff. The role will report directly into the Community Director. The areas of responsibility for this role are wide and require a candidate with thorough knowledge of various organisational processes. They will need to be competent and possess the ability to plan and manage different kinds of operational activity.

This role is integral to ensuring our staff are adequately supported and motivated on a day-to-day basis. They will manage and link together all core departments at the Foundation ensuring that the wide range of projects we deliver achieve targets and impact. The Head of Operations will be a people person and have a passion for making a difference in the local community, using this to inspire others in line with our values driven approach.

In this role you will;
  • Devise and implement an operational plan, with clear objectives and KPIs which delivers the Foundation strategy.
  • Collaborate with the senior management team to ensure service delivery through effective planning, reporting and evaluation.
  • Develop an operations structure that delivers an effective and efficient service delivery, monitoring performance against KPIs and budget.
  • Work closely with the Safeguarding Officer to ensure that service delivery demonstrates best practice in safeguarding all participants.
  • Ensure all staff are appropriately trained to follow policy and procedures.
  • Ensure all records are maintained to the highest standard.
  • Work closely with the Business Management and funding team, to support growth and develop new opportunities.
  • Prepare ad-hoc reports as required.
The salary for this role is £38,000 per annum

About The Candidate

The successful candidate will;
  • be able to demonstrate previous experience in operations management
  • have prior experience of managing a team.
  • be an autonomous, but collaborative leader with the ability to work to targets, deadlines and drive their team to do the same.
  • be a positive, engaging and ambitious leader with a proven track record of delivering in an environment of growth and change.
  • have experience of change management.
  • have experience of working with partner agencies, such as host schools, youth clubs.
  • have experience of working with young people in a sport or youth work environment.
  • have an understanding of Safeguarding procedures and HSE standards.
  • be able to demonstrate their understanding of report mechanisms or the need to have them, such as salesforce.
  • have experience of monitoring and inputting of registers and an understanding around reporting data.
  • be proficient in Microsoft programmes such as  Excel and Outlook 365
  • be able to demonstrate good organisational and time management skills.
  • have commitment to deliver exceptional customer service through effective verbal and written communication.
  • be focussed and able to maintain a high level of attention to detail.
