About The Role

As a Matchday Team Leader, you will manage and lead a team within a designated concourse area, delivering a first-class customer service experience in a busy bar and food concession environment. You will communicate company goals, safety practices, and operational deadlines, ensuring all procedures and standards are consistently followed.

You will assist with team training and development for the operation of your concession. You will motivate the team, monitor and assess performance, and support smooth operations during peak periods, creating a welcoming atmosphere for supporters before, during, and after kick-off.

The role covers all home league and cup fixtures, including weekends and evening matches.

The Role
  • Ensure full compliance with Food Hygiene Regulations, Health & Safety standards, and all company policies and procedures.
  • Manage and lead a team within a designated area, overseeing a high-volume food and bar concession.
  • Coordinate the end-to-end operation of the concession to deliver an efficient, high-quality service at all times
  • Motivate, direct, and manage staff performance, addressing any issues where required.
  • Deliver clear, precise pre-shift briefs to all team members within your area
  • Delegate tasks effectively to ensure smooth service delivery during peak periods
  • Maintain excellent product knowledge across the menu to support service standards and sales
  • Identify opportunities to maximise sales and ensure all transactions are accurately recorded.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement and high performance.
  • Ensure customers are welcomed in a warm, friendly, and professional manner.
  • Respond to customer feedback and complaints efficiently, sincerely, and effectively.
  • Support team training and development for the effective operation of the concession
  • Encourage strong teamwork within your area and collaboration with other departments
  • Carry out any additional duties as requested by management
 

About The Candidate

Essential
  • Proven experience managing or supervising a team in a fast-paced food and/or bar environment

  • Strong knowledge of Food Hygiene Regulations and Health & Safety standards

  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to deliver clear team briefs and instructions

  • Proven ability to motivate staff and manage performance during busy periods
