Head of Academy Medical

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an exceptional candidate to fulfil the role as a full-time physiotherapist, working primarily with the U18 squad whilst also taking a strategic operational role across the entire Academy at Doncaster Rovers. Whilst the focus is on injury prevention and rehabilitation, there is also a responsibility to support the transition of player development from the academy into the first team squad by managing the medical department effectively. 

As a HCPC registered physiotherapist, the post holder will work collaboratively with the wider multidisciplinary team and be a member of the academy leadership team (ALT). They will be able to demonstrate team working as well as acting on their own initiative with strong communication skills. They will be skilled in the rehabilitation of musculoskeletal injuries and be able to use objective markers to guide the return to play process. They will also support the development of the part time therapists and physio's to ensure a high quality of practise.

Applicants must hold a full driving licence with access to a suitable vehicle and have in date MOT, Road tax and relevant insurance if they are intending to do business mileage for Club Doncaster. It is the employee’s responsibility to ensure up to date documentation is provided to Club Doncaster.
