About The Role
Role Purpose
This role supports the financial team by contributing to the seamless integration and analysis of the club's operations, playing a key part in maintaining the integrity of financial data and reporting.
 
Main Areas of Responsibility
  • Ensuring accurate and timely processing of journals, processing supplier invoices, processing expenses & credit card requests and reconciling balance sheets.
  • To ensure the banking of cash, credit cards and cheques is performed on a daily basis.
  • To ensure a detailed check of the daily business is performed and any discrepancies are resolved with the appropriate department.
  • Support other departments to gather and verify revenue & cost information, addressing any discrepancies and build relationships.
  • The completion of petty cash journals.
  • Assist the Management Accountant in creating financial reports as required.
  • Perform a variety of accounting reconciliations including group intercompany accounts.
  • Support with system transition, and ensure all transaction have the appropriate purchase order in place and are authorised.
  • Ensure all policies are adhered to.
General Responsibilities
  • Be an ambassador of the Group, providing excellent customer service at all times whilst portraying a professional image.
  • Perform other duties as required, which are considered relevant to the post and to the objectives of the Group as identified by the CFO.
  • Treat all colleagues as customers ensuring respectful, positive outcomes across all communications.
  • Adhere to and abide by all BWFC policies, procedures and guidelines, especially remembering responsibilities to others under Equal Opportunities, Health and Safety, Equality and Diversity.

  • Relevant experience in an Finance Assistant role
  • Best practice purchase & sales ledger procedures
  • Experience of utilising a Finance ERP (Access)
