About The Role

Preston North End Football Club are looking to recruit a Lead Academy Scout to cover the Manchester area. You will be expected to cover a minimum of three games per week. 
 
* You are expected to attend live grassroots and Academy football games on a frequent basis (a maximum of three paid games per week). Attendance at each game should be approved by the Head of Academy Recruitment, Academy Senior Scout or Analysis, Recruitment and Administration support. 
 
* You are expected to submit a player report onto the Academy's Performance Management Application software (PMA) centralised system. 
 
* You are required to report any relevant information that may concern potential player targets back to the Head of Academy Recruitment, Academy Senior Scout, or Analysis, Recruitment and Administration support. 
 
* The ideal candidate should have prior experience working within an academy football environment with extensive knowledge of both players and clubs within their region.

Pay 
You will be paid an hourly rate of pay of £12.88 for travel time, game time and administration time. You will also receive expenses for your mileage/per mile.

About The Candidate

Essential Qualifications, Skills and Experience 
 
1. Strong understanding of youth football and the ability to identify long-term player potential. 
2. Excellent communication and relationship building skills.
3. Proactive, enthusiastic and organised approach to identifying talent. 
4. Good knowledge of the Manchester grassroots and academy football landscape, with an established local network. 
5. Reliable and professional individual, with flexibility to work evenings, weekends and willing to travel locally. 
6. Full UK Driving Licence which is essential for the role. 
7. You must have business insurance for your car.

Preston North End Football Club is a professional football club in Preston, Lancashire, whose first team currently play in the English Football League Championship. Preston North End's stadium is situated in the heart of Preston, within the ward of 'Deepdale.' The Club operates over five sites to incorporate the first team, the academy, the Preston North End Community and Education Trust (PNECET), the administration team and the stadium. The majority of these sites are in Preston, and one is in Euxton, Chorley. Preston North End FC was officially formed in 1880 and was a founder member of the Football League in 1888.
